What makes a fantastic portrait shoot? YOU! Come prepared to HAVE FUN!

Portrait sessions are only a little bit contrived - I mean, you have to have SOME plan - but the reality is, it's YOU who makes the shoot. I have a general idea of what we want, but then....I just watch, and try to make ordinary moments a bit more extraordinary.

My favorite setting for portrait sessions is outside, at the beach, a nice park, somewhere that provides a nice backdrop. I also love creating family montages in the studio with a crisp white background. I only use simple flat colors for backgrounds. White, black/gray. I have more dramatic colors that I use for my Designer Card offering. I really don't like props unless they help tell the story. And yes, pets are welcome!
